We introduce...
Alexander Bleeke has been strengthening the electrical design department at FRERK Aggregatebau GmbH for a few months.
The electrical design of emergency generators and emergency power systems is planned and designed there. He chose Frerk because he found a job with variety and future prospects very important. In times of increased reliable power requirements, Frerk offers targeted, future-oriented solutions, especially for critical infrastructures. "At Frerk, we are particularly strong in the design and manufacture of customer-specific special solutions. Working out these sometimes tricky tasks from the electrical design side are welcome challenges in which I can apply and expand my knowledge," explains the state-certified electrical engineer.
Alexander mainly deals with drawing circuit diagrams, designing electrical components and creating cable lists. Programming control units rounds off his range of tasks. "I don't just sit at my desk, I also accompany every project live in the directly adjacent production facility in Schweringen. I really appreciate the problem-solving skills in the team and the friendly environment, which has helped me settle in really well,” he adds.
We are delighted to have you on the FRERK team!
Festival – BACKGROUND POWER
Just the right power for the “Just for Fun Festival” in Eystrup with a standard generator from FRERK’s yellow product line: To really get the fans of the nine bands going open air, like here with the opener Stepfather Fred, the yellow 60 kVA hood generator supplied energy from the background independently and easily for two days. That’s how easy it is to make electricity available where it is needed: for fun, specifically or prophylactically in an emergency.

8. Kirchlinteln aid transport will soon be heading to Ukraine
What began with a spontaneous aid campaign in March 2022 via an existing contact between Sirius Jugendhilfe Kirchlinte and an orphanage in Tlumatsch, Ukraine, has grown into an intensive and personal relationship. Seven transports have already brought important relief supplies, including fire engines, to the town, which is about 150 km from Lemberg (Lviv).
In January 2024, a solidarity partnership for targeted and needs-based aid between the communities of Kirchlinteln and Tlumatsch was officially sealed.
The upcoming delivery will also include a refurbished 200 kVA emergency generator from FRERK Aggregatebau.
“Due to many destroyed substations, there is currently no mains power available for between 8 and 10 hours a day. The power generation plant will supply the energy for the water pumps in order to maintain the important drinking water supply. Our aid deliveries are financed exclusively by donations from companies and citizens. A freight forwarder is responsible for the transport," says Frank Weiberg, deputy mayor of Kirchlinteln.
Cord Ehlers started the 1400 km delivery of the unit by loading it onto his trailer in Schweringen with our long-time employee Bernd Pfeiffer.
We would like to thank you for your exemplary commitment and wish you a safe journey to Tlumatsch!

Remembering two geniuses
On August 25th, we mark the anniversary of the deaths of Michael Faraday and James Watt. As generator manufacturers, we deal with their achievements every day.
No generator without electrical power! James Watt made a significant contribution to improving the efficiency of the revolutionary steam engine and gave electrical power its name. Not a day goes by when we don't talk about WATT or mega-WATT. No generator without a generator! The experimental physicist Michael Faraday laid the foundation for the generator with his groundbreaking invention of electromagnetic induction. Only with this did it become possible to generate electrical energy from the kinetic energy of motors - and everywhere: in permafrost, in the desert, in the sea and of course during power outages and even blackouts. We remember the two visionary minds whose inventive spirit was fundamental to mechanical and electrical engineering in the 19th century.
New at FRERK: The LEGAL DEPARTMENT
A high level of quality, safety, risk handling and customization are our premise for emergency power solutions for our customers. We also place these demands on ourselves at a process and formal level. By establishing the legal department, we are intensifying and optimizing the important relationships with customers, suppliers and partners on a legal basis as well.
With Amelie Brase, a Bachelor of Laws in commercial law, is establishing the new legal department in the company: "It is important to us to ensure that all processes in our company, from the submission of offers to procurement and processing to acceptance, including warranty and service, are managed in such a way that legally compliant and risk-minimized actions are guaranteed." The design and review of all contractual documents such as framework agreements, confidentiality agreements, purchase and service contracts are part of her area of responsibility.
"The market for emergency generators and emergency power systems is growing rapidly. FRERK is developing exponentially in this area with customized emergency power solutions. Hardly any two projects are the same and the national and international business partners are just as different. Legal and risk aspects in contractual agreements are becoming increasingly important. We are in an excellent position with our legal department," emphasizes the business lawyer.
Just married - all in black
It was that time again: another Frerk wedding, where two heavyweights entered into a "bond for life". We married the Cummins engine, around 10 tons, with a Cummins generator of around 6.3 tons to form a unit (as we solemnly say in our production). The strong connecting link is the ring-shaped coupling. A carefully prepared, millimeter-precise process in which everything soon comes together seamlessly to form a backup power system for a data center. If required, this provides around 3,000 kVA of power within a few seconds. The "couple" will next go into a container for their honeymoon.

Reinforcement for Frerk's sales department
Welcome Patrick!
At the beginning of August, Patrick Oestreich started working in our sales department. He was convinced by the excellent reputation that our company has built up over the course of its 60-year existence: "Frerk stands for a high level of competence and quality in the design, implementation and service of customized emergency generators and emergency power systems in the market."
The state-certified electrician has extensive experience in sales with a technical background as well as emergency power solutions. He is looking forward to applying this to us throughout Germany in the area of critical infrastructures and to expanding it in interesting new projects. In Frerk, Patrick has found a company in which many years of specialization go hand in hand with an innovative focus. "I was given a warm welcome and am looking forward to future collegial cooperation in a great team with in-depth specialist knowledge."
We are delighted that he has joined our team and wish him a good start!
JOB OFFERS <-> JOB DEMAND – A practical comparison
We were very pleased about the visit from the employees of the job center in the Nienburg district. The fact that FRERK not only offers emergency power systems and modular power plants for data centers, hospitals, very remote regions and much more, but also compact emergency generators for private households, was clearly a source of astonishment and also aroused some interest.
During the tour of the production halls and test fields, the job specialists were able to take a detailed and practiced look at the practical activities for trainees and specialists. Sales, conception, project planning, transport, installation and a wide range of services are also located in Schweringen.
You can find a variety of positions for which we are always looking for reinforcements on the FRERK career page & the job portal of the employment agency
Thank you for your great interest in FRERK Aggregatebau GmbH!
Lifesavers at Frerk
The other day it was that time again: First aid training was due. We now have a total of 40 first aiders in our factory! This means that almost one in four people is trained for emergencies. At Frerk, this means that not only emergency power, but also lifesavers are available everywhere and at any time.
Many thanks to the DRK Nienburg district association for their support in this important matter!
THANK YOU!!!
60 years of company history are not something to be taken for granted, but the result of courage and willingness to innovate, responsible entrepreneurial spirit and people and companies who put their trust in us. At the end of our anniversary week, we say THANK YOU to all our stakeholders who actively support and accompany us with their commitment. We look forward to further cooperation and many more anniversaries!
... get to work - for 60 years!
We are looking forward to more years and anniversaries in our company, in which we have been able to achieve so much together. With the following video we show you what we do every day and what we will continue to do.
How it all began...
On the occasion of our anniversary last Thursday, we took a look into the archives for the anniversary week. Exciting photos and negatives from the 60s, 70s and 80s emerged. Back when our production hall was still in the center of Balge - and when we had just built our first hall in the Schweringen industrial area in 1978... ...back then mobile container solutions for units also looked a little different...
Six times 60
New flags decorate the company premises and the "60 years" shine on a white background. A small measure with a big impact: Now none of our guests can overlook the fact that the year 2024 and especially July are to be celebrated.
Happy birthday, Frerk!
Exactly 60 years ago today, on July 11, 1964, Frerk Aggregatebau GmbH was founded. Back then, with its headquarters in Balge, the history of the now internationally active company began in a small electric motor armature winding shop.
60 years later, the FRERK team has over 200 employees in the departments where design, planning, manufacturing and testing take place.
Our systems are later used all over the world: whether in the Arctic Circle or in Australia, they ensure a reliable supply of electricity.
25th employee anniversary
We were able to celebrate Jürgen Marzin's 25th anniversary at FRERK.
He started working for us as a locksmith in 1999, making him the tenth of our more than 200 employees with more than a quarter of a century of service.
The FRERK team sends its warmest congratulations!
All the best for your future, Niclas!
After a year, we sent our intern Niclas on his well-deserved summer vacation.
For a year, he supported us from the technical college for business in Sulingen - and got to know all the departments. He finished his time in the "Service" station over the past few weeks, where he was also able to attend away appointments.
Thank you, Niclas, for your active support at FRERK.
We hope that our farewell gift represents the good memories of our company for you.
We wish you all the best for the future!
Climate neutrality and emergency power?
This is possible through the use of hydrogen fuel cells. We had already announced that we were planning an information event at our Schweringen plant in cooperation with SFC Energy GmbH. This was a complete success. The audience, made up of representatives from economic development agencies, local companies and broadcasters such as NDR, was able to see the emission-free 10 kW hydrogen fuel cell for emergency power supply and have their questions answered. An exciting exchange in the spirit of regional cooperation.
Finding new talent
Our trainers were represented at the BBS Nienburg at the apprentice fair “Abfahrt Ausbildung”. We are always looking for new talent, whether in the mechanical and electrical field or in the field of construction.
We gave the students a lot of interesting information about the training and about us and hope to receive many applications as a result.
We look forward to training new creative and craft-loving talents!
Green energy security
Frerk Aggregatebau GmbH is moving into the next round with hydrogen technology in a strong partner network.
Emergency power is usually generated using diesel, gas or even gasoline as fuel. But through its collaboration with SFC Energy AG, Frerk Aggregatebau GmbH is actively developing emergency power systems based on hydrogen fuel cells. These can be used to generate emergency power sustainably and without emissions.
In June, such a fuel cell system of the type "EFOY H2-Genset 28/10" with a peak output of 28 kW will be tested under load on the premises of Frerk Aggregatebau GmbH in the Schweringen industrial area.
Team run & fighting spirit
Our “power tamers” took part in the “Nienburg asparagus run” this year and completed the 5000 m run. Thanks to their special fighting spirit, everyone made it to the finish line. Great performance!
With full power and solidarity, we at Frerk Aggregatebau can achieve anything and are full of energy.
Frerk at the Disasters Expo in Frankfurt/Main
Our team was represented at stand D112 - where we had some exciting conversations. It was clear that climate change is making a secure power supply in the event of a crisis more and more important. So we are in exactly the right place at this trade fair with our services.
Thank you for your visits!

Future Day 2024 at Frerk
A great group of 14 curious young people visited us on Future Day at our headquarters in Schweringen. With exciting insights into practice, a few challenging tasks from everyday working life and a delicious pizza break, the girls and boys from various schools in the Nienburg district were able to spend what we hope was a lovely day with us!
It's great that you were there - and thank you very much for your interest in FRERK Aggregatebau GmbH!
Let's go into the big wide world
The start is here in Schweringen and the destination is a data center in Japan. We wish you a safe journey to the installation site.
DEIF show van at Frerk
During a visit to DEIF's show van, we were able to take a look at the Danish developer's innovative generator control system and try it out live. We were shown a modular and intelligent energy control system. Flexibly programmable, user-friendly, safe and modern. Perhaps soon another option in the configuration of our individual emergency power systems.
Emergency power with climate diesel?
It's easy to say why this is a special feature. Safety, costs and future: these three points were very important to the planner and the end customer.
Why safety? In the future, the NEA will be able to supply a Hamburg data center with power for at least 72 hours in the event of a power failure. The interaction of the existing UPS systems ensures that the servers and customer data are secured in the long term. As part of the feasibility study, it was also considered whether the existing UPS batteries should be replaced with higher capacity ones. For static, fire protection and on-site space reasons, this idea was not pursued any further.
Why costs? Here, the acquisition, upkeep and maintenance costs, as well as replacement and life cycle, were compared. It quickly became clear that continuing to use the existing infrastructure with the addition of a backup power system was the best option.
Why future? The use and lifespan of the NEA saves resources. By using climate diesel 90, CO2 is reduced by up to 90% without any loss of performance. Thanks to the customer training provided by our sales partner Classic, a sound basic knowledge of “efuels” and air conditioning diesel was imparted.
FRERK at the Natural Disasters Expo 2024
A reliable power supply is becoming increasingly important as climate change progresses. Environmental disasters are also becoming increasingly likely.
To meet future challenges, the Natural Disasters Expo will take place in Frankfurt am Main on May 15 and 16.
We will also be presenting our services alongside numerous other international institutions with an extensive stand concept.
Come by for a chat!
We are waiting for you at stand D112 and look forward to exchanging ideas.
Frerk represented at the school fair in Hoya
We have been represented at schools in Hoya for the past two days - to give young people in the district a little bit of knowledge about emergency power and the work of the Frerk company. A very successful event.
Many thanks to mf Medienservice for the organization - and thanks to the representatives of Herbert Kannegiesser GmbH, RTH, OMT and the DRK Nienburg district association for the pleasant cooperation.
Generators for the voluntary fire brigade in Hesse
In February we delivered four 30kVA generators from our yellow range to equip voluntary fire brigades in Hesse
In advance, our employees visited the site to discuss the exact needs and requirements for a suitable full supply.
The customer requests included some modifications to our generators. We have therefore added the following functions to the standard equipment:
- Travel options with heavy-duty rollers, 2 steering, 2 rigid with brakes
- Maintenance charge of the starter battery with intelligent charger
- Switchable PEN bridge
- Switchable insulation monitoring
- Cover made of weather-resistant tarpaulin - in fire brigade red, of course
- Production and assembly of exhaust towers on the exhaust side of two generators
Following these modifications, the first system was in our test field in November. Delivery then took place in February.
Now there is only one appointment left for the instruction on how to operate the systems. This will be rounded off with a barbecue together. A successful, smooth collaboration - we are looking forward to the end.
Successful completion of training
We are pleased to announce the successful completion of training by three talented colleagues!
Arne, Nils and Thore (from left to right) from the fields of electronics, mechatronics and construction mechanics recently received their journeyman certificates. We are proud of this!
We warmly congratulate the graduates and are particularly pleased that all three have decided to stay at FRERK. New journeymen in the factory who will enrich us with their skills in the future. Here's to continued successful cooperation and professional development in aggregate construction.
If it says HOT on the outside, it's HOT inside!
Our new customer came to us with a problem. The emergency generator he installed always stopped working due to overheating. After a targeted troubleshooting of the cooling system, the error was quickly located and corrected. Small errors during installation with major consequences for the operator. The MTU 16V2000 had to show what it can do in a one-hour load run
with 100% load (1000KVA). The load run was successfully completed and another customer was happy. And above all, it conveyed security and trust in the NEA.
New fuel cell emergency power system with Frerk
At the end of last year, in collaboration with SFC Energy AG, we successfully installed and commissioned a new fuel cell emergency power system.
The system, which is located on the Netze Duisburg GmbH site, supplies a drinking water transfer station with self-sufficient backup power.
With a net continuous electrical output of 8 kW and the use of 4 fuel cell modules of the type EFOY Hydrogen 2.5 from SFC, the system offers an energy reserve of approx. 900 kWh. The fully automatic switching between different hydrogen pressure bottles and the uninterrupted switching between the public power grid and the self-sufficient fuel cell supply are further features.
An area of around 4 m² is required for the housing and an additional approx. 10 m² for the storage of the hydrogen pressure bottles. The installation can be carried out on a simple concrete floor slab and takes three to four working days.
The emergency power system works silently, cleanly, without emissions and, when using green hydrogen, is also CO2-neutral. The attached photo shows the three project managers from SFC, Netze Duisburg and Frerk after the successful commissioning.

New flyers at Frerk
Coupled with strong motifs from everyday work along our production line, we want to use postcard format to draw attention to the available positions in our aggregate construction. There are currently six versions, and more are planned.
These will soon be available everywhere we present ourselves to guests, partners, customers and the curious. Whether at the reception in the Schweringen plant or at trade fairs across the country - we offer jobs with a future!
Strategy meeting in sales
Like every year at FRERK, 2024 starts with the strategy meeting of the sales department
After a review of the past year, we looked ahead to all the challenges and milestones that await us in the next twelve months.
One thing is certain: the importance of reliable emergency power remains unbroken. More and more areas of our society are dependent on electronic systems and renewable energies.
This makes the integration of advanced technologies and intelligent networks a key task in order to ensure a reliable and efficient emergency power supply in a wide variety of scenarios.
We will continue to work on this in 2024.
Hello 2024
We wish you a happy new year!
This year we'll be letting the sparks fly again - as the numerous projects are being pushed forward in the factory.
Safe emergency power, always and everywhere. That's what we stand for in 2024 too.
We look forward to working with you.
Bye 2023
At the end of the year, we would like to thank all customers, business partners and employees for their trust and cooperative collaboration.
Managing Director Mark Hiller describes this time of year as "a good opportunity to pause and express our appreciation to you."
"We wish you and your families a Merry Christmas, peaceful holidays and a Happy New Year."
Best wishes from the entire FRERK team.
See you in 2024.
Emergency power system for a waterworks
We have installed an emergency power system for a waterworks in the greater Cologne area.
The system is installed in a special-sized container measuring 16 x 3 x 3.5 meters, has a medium-voltage generator with 10,000V and has an output of 2,000kVA.
A particular challenge was that the construction site is located in a water protection zone. Therefore, the entire emergency power system, including the cooler, was installed inside the container. We designed this as a collecting tray.
The foundation plate of the container has a basement. A storage tank manufactured on site is installed in the basement, which supplies the system with fuel at full load for up to 72 hours before it has to be refueled.
This means that the region's water supply is now guaranteed even in crisis situations or in the event of a power outage.
Red giants at Frerk
We are currently building three "giants" in parallel in Hall 1 of our plant in Schweringen.
The hybrid engines, which weigh around 43 tons and have an output of 2628 kW (3573 hp!), are lifted by our cranes and placed on rollers in the prepared containers with centimeter precision. There they then come to a stop on foundations that cushion their final vibrations.
Our team can then start the work that will turn a powerful engine in a container into a genset for generating emergency power for our customer.
Frerk has a new flag
Step by step, we are currently replacing old logos on our company premises. We recently adapted the Frerk Aggregatebau GmbH lettering.
Simpler. And more modern.
Since then, we have been in a rebranding process in which the old logos are being replaced and new ones are being planned in some places.
One of these very prominent displays were the flags on our access road, which now shine in new splendor!
The work continues on and in our halls.
Trainees – it's great that you're here!
Today our trainees are starting their third week of training at Frerk.
On August 1st, our masters were given eleven new apprentices to work with and are giving them all the knowledge they need for their chosen professions. Whether they're construction mechanics or electrical engineers – the good mood hadn't evaporated at the photo shoot last year.
So it can continue like this. Here's to successful years of training!
Oldtimer-Club Nienburg/Weser e.V. visits Frerk
We recently had a great day of events at our location in Schweringen. The Oldtimer-Club Nienburg/Weser e.V. was our guest with around 50 vehicles and almost 100 guests.
Several groups went on factory tours, during which we presented some of our current projects in more detail.
There was also time to answer all questions about emergency power security in your own home.
Many thanks to the Oldtimer-Club Nienburg for the visit and interest in our company :)
Days like this are not everyday for us, but they are always a nice, warmly welcome change!
Diesel engine on the test bench
Without exception, all of our engines are tested for their functionality. For this purpose, we have our test fields in Schweringen, where several systems can be tested at the same time without any problems. Under full load, these must then show whether they deliver the expected performance.
The 3110kVA engine in the picture has passed all tests. This means that it will soon be ready to be used to provide safe electricity...
Safety in the event of a disaster
The time has finally come:
After extensive planning, one of our generators from the yellow range is being delivered to the Lühmann Group petrol station in Hoya.
This means that the first petrol station in the Nienburg/Weser district is equipped for the unlikely event of a long-term, widespread power outage - and the fuel supply for emergency vehicles from the fire brigade, police, THW, etc. is secured in the event of a disaster.
Frerk Aggregatebau GmbH shares the costs with the Lühmann Group. Together, in this cooperation, we are making a contribution to disaster prevention in our region.
Employees trained on the topic of "PPE against falls"
In order to be able to work safely on radiators and exhaust systems at great heights, we recently called a service technician meeting in Schweringen.
Our external occupational safety specialist trained both on how to put on PPE (personal protective equipment against falls) correctly - and how to use it correctly. Further tips and tricks followed to ensure the best possible use of the equipment.
However, we generally recommend that all customers install fixed fall protection (railings, etc.) for their own safety and that of their employees. We also offer these and consider them to be a sensible investment considering the service life of the systems we manufacture.
Designed to perfection at Frerk
We are delighted to report a remarkable achievement today that combines innovation and excellence:
We at FRERK are very proud to have been selected to deliver a container master door solution for a Scandinavian data center, setting a new benchmark for the size of the products we build.
We have spared no effort to ensure that every aspect of this generator was designed to perfection, resulting in a truly exceptional machine.
One of the aspects, for example, was the sheer size of the project. The container master door set was manufactured to our customer's requirements and measures an impressive 4 meters in height, 3.8 meters in width and 15 meters in length. Such a massive structure requires a lot of attention to detail and precision work.
Weight was also carefully considered in the planning, with the final product weighing more than 100 tons. Handling and transporting such an imposing load required innovative solutions and we are proud to say that we successfully met this challenge and ensured a flawless delivery process.
As the total height of the installed generator set is more than 12 meters, we also considered the effects of wind, rain and snow. Our team designed the air supply and discharge system to withstand these demanding conditions and provide unparalleled performance and reliability.
The product has been fully assembled and is currently being tested at our facility in Schweringen.
Monitoring audit for ISO 9001:2015
We recently undertook the second monitoring audit for DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 certification.
The quality management system of Frerk Aggregatebau GmbH was checked in the areas of design, manufacture, sales and maintenance of energy generation systems.
The audit was completed without any deviations and shows that Frerk's management system is well positioned. Various strengths of the management system were highlighted by our external auditor.
This is how it should continue. We are delighted with the certificate!

We are there...
For years we have been exchanging ideas with colleagues from other sectors in order to be able to provide our customers with expert advice.
Will you be there?
Safe power supply with our yellow product range
We have been dealing with the topic of “power failure and its consequences” in everyday life for many years.
What if the time comes?
Emergency power generators make an important contribution to safety in the company. They protect virtual environments, machines, systems and devices from disruptions in the power grid and the complete failure of the power supply. In the event of a widespread blackout, emergency power systems can first and foremost protect human lives and vital infrastructure for a period of time.
Even minor voltage and frequency fluctuations of just a few milliseconds can cause damage, especially to sensitive consumers. This means that even minor failures can result in considerable costs. Not to mention the impact on productive operations.
It can affect anyone... Whether it's a petrol station, the construction industry, automotive suppliers, companies in the processing industry, manufacturing industry or service sector: there is no industry that can afford downtime.
With our yellow product range of soundproofed emergency power generators, you can secure your power supply. We advise, plan and supply systems that are tailored to your needs and wishes.
The work is done!
We have installed and connected all consumers to the new NSHV during ongoing hospital operations. In conjunction with the newly supplied emergency power system, patients and our customer can once again look to the future with peace of mind.
The previous system had to be replaced due to a manufacturer's planning and execution errors. This was only 5 years old and did not comply with any standards.
Bigger is better!
The next systems are ready for a long-standing customer and will soon start their long journey to the installation site.
True to the motto “Bigger is better”, five giants from a series of 31 generators are currently heading towards the end of production.
These emergency power systems are destined for a data center in Asia. Each of the individual units has a displacement of 95 liters and generates a gigantic output from 20 cylinders. Thanks to the compact design, 3000kWe are generated on 30m2 of container floor space and supplied to the data center. When completed, this site will have over 90MW.
A truly mammoth task, which our entire team mastered with flying colors.
Series start “Blackout” with us they don't see black
From Thursday, SAT.1 will be showing the series Blackout at 8:15 pm!
We can't wait to see it.
Anyone who has read the book “Blackout” by Marc Elsberg must watch the series.
Over 2 million copies in over 20 countries says it all!
We are also eagerly watching and wondering what headlines the press will bring on Friday.
And ask ourselves in particular how the topic of “power failures and their consequences” will be dealt with in everyday life and in the future, or even better, the simple question:
What if?
In the event of a widespread blackout, emergency power systems can secure important infrastructures for a period of time.
We advise, plan and supply systems that are tailored to your needs and wishes.
At least our customers and we won't go “black in the face”. We have made provisions for this. We received our deliveries just in time for the start of series production and stocked up our “yellow series” warehouses.
And if things get really dramatic... Call us right away!

Your secure power supply with our yellow product range
Emergency power generators make an important contribution to safety in a company. They protect virtual environments, machines, systems and devices from faults in the power grid and complete power supply failures.
Even minor power fluctuations and voltage peaks of just a few milliseconds can cause major damage, especially to voltage-sensitive power supply units. Even minor failures can result in considerable costs. Not to mention the impact on productive operation.
It can affect anyone
Whether it's the construction industry, automotive suppliers, companies in the processing industry, manufacturing industry or service sector: there is no industry that can afford outages.
On construction sites, in residential areas or in industrial zones, loud generators quickly become a noise nuisance for local residents.
With our yellow product range of soundproofed emergency power generators, you can secure your power supply and comply with applicable regulations on quiet periods.

As a result of the gas crisis and an impending shortage of resources, the German government recommends that companies stock up on emergency power generators
The recommendation is aimed in particular at operators of critical infrastructure. These include, for example, network operators, transport companies, waterworks, the food industry, the healthcare sector, telecommunications and internet services, data centers, financial and insurance providers and waste disposal companies.
An emergency power generator with automatic start should not only be used in larger companies.
Whether in a production plant or a trading company, a power failure costs the company a fortune.
An emergency power supply is therefore essential for many companies.
According to State Secretary for Economic Affairs Patrick Graichen (Greens), operators should purchase emergency power generators with a bridging time of 72 hours to compensate for possible power failures.
Frerk Aggregatebau GmbH is at your disposal for all services relating to the construction of gensets and power generation systems. We provide you with individual complete system solutions in the field of emergency power supply. We take care of the complete handling of the project, from the preparation of the quotation to the constructive design, production, factory testing and handover ready for operation according to your customer requirements and in compliance with current legal regulations. Even afterwards, our qualified and continuously trained service staff are available for you 24/7.
Are you prepared for a disaster?
If you already have an emergency power generator and want to ensure that it is state of the art, we maintain and repair our own and third-party systems, regardless of the manufacturer.

How can we improve the quality of life in metropolitan areas and make our emergency power systems more climate-friendly?
Another component, in addition to exhaust treatment systems as our contribution to environmental protection, is Frerk Hybrid Power, which consists of a natural gas genset in combination with an energy storage system and control system including energy management. Natural gas burns with particularly low pollutants and has the lowest greenhouse gas emissions and dust pollution of all fossil fuels [1] and is not a substance hazardous to water.
Thus, we have taken into account two important criteria that play an important role in the decision-making process for the use of power generation plants in metropolitan areas and water protection areas.
Actual topics in process :
- Emergency power supply of clinics with a hybrid system consisting of gas genset and energy storage system, taking into account the applicable regulations for safety power supplies.
- Grid service with a hybrid plant with gas genset and energy storage in the UK.
- Microgrid system with gas gensets and energy storage system to supply an industrial site in Australia without public grid connection.

Online factory acceptance test unimaginable a year ago!
More than a year ago now, the novel Covid-19 virus broke out and we had no idea how it would affect our work and private environment.
When the first travel restrictions were imposed in the spring of 2020, unanswered questions also arose with regard to our customer service:
How can we implement customer acceptance tests if our customer is unable to travel?
How can we give our customer a first impression of his new product?
The answer to these questions was quickly found.
If the customer cannot come to us, we bring the test to the customer.
Until then, there had been no experience with an online factory acceptance test.
A visual inspection was performed with a mobile camera and transmitted in real time to our customer in the Caribbean. In order to be able to check not only the engine but also measurement data during the load test, these were presented in an online meeting room for all participants.
During the year, we expanded our equipment to the extent that we are now able to perform online factory acceptance testing with 6 static cameras as well as mobile devices to the complete satisfaction of our customers.
To date, we have completed 22 factory acceptance tests and all customers have been highly satisfied with the implementation and support provided by the Frerk Team. During the acceptance tests, customers from all over the world followed us. The factory acceptance test with the most nations took place for a customer from the oil & gas industry. Participants from Russia, India, United Arab Emirates, USA, England and Germany were present.
In addition, we offered plant tours and quality audits last year, which also met with a good response, and some of our customers have already indicated that they will continue to use online factory acceptance tests in the future.
Despite the positive feedback, we look forward to welcoming our customers back in person in Schweringen soon.
Until then: "stay healthy!" Daniel Quade, Test Field Manager, Frerk Aggregatebau GmbH

We help grid operators to make Germany's transmission grids safer and more reliable
Based on the EU Regulation 2017/2196 of 24 November 2017 establishing a network code on electricity emergency and restoration, various transmission system operators have started to equip their substations with emergency generating units to warrant a self-sufficient uninterrupted supply time of at least 72 hours in the event of outage of the MV distribution system.
In the course of implementing such measures, we have worked together with various transmission system operators on the specific development of emergency generating units based on diesel generators that take particular account of specific requirements in terms of integrating remote signal exchange, maintenance concepts, regular trial runs etc. Since 2017 we have already produced about 30 units in various output categories and commissioned these on site with the respective operator. More units in high double-digit quantities are currently undergoing production or are in the preliminary planning stage for the next few years. Furthermore, we enter into detailed discussions with the respective operators about individual maintenance concepts and conclude service agreements with warranted on-call standby times etc.
